An initiative to promote peace, harmony and unity between all human beings. Bringing people together of all backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures through meditation, we believe that it is possible to inspire and motivate for a positive change.
We come together to celebrate our very real capacity to generate peace, already, in the here and now. This is the peace we offer to our cities and to the world.
There is no sitting for peace, sitting is peace.
WHEN: Saturday 8 June 2013 2:30pm to 3:30pm
WHERE: Trafalgar Square
BRING: You may like to bring something to sit on.
2:30pm – The sounding of the bell will mark the start of the sitting meditation.
3:20pm – Sound bath: chanting any sounds that call you personally, such as Om, Ah, Nah
3:30pm – The sounding of the bell will mark the end of the meditation flash mob.
This is an event open and free to everyone, of all ages, from every path, backgrounds, cultures, faiths, political stance and experience levels. Even if you have yet to try meditation, please come and sit peacefully. Your presence adds to the experience and the more people who come together across the world with positive intention, the more powerful the impact on ourselves and the planet.
1. To create an environment for people from all ages, walks of life and faiths to come together in meditation.
2. To expose people to meditation through public display of meditation.
3. To come together as a community to send positive intentions out into the world.
4. To show that leading by example is the best way to lead. Simple acts can stimulate major paradigm shifts in thinking.
